Faith in sin?

Written by:

Today, the Church is being called back to unwavering trust in God. Drawing from biblical examples like Moses, we see the importance of placing total reliance on Him. Moses, though initially hesitant, leaned on God alone to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. Despite the pressures, he trusted God fully, seeking Him in moments of need.

In contrast, the Israelites often turned to false gods, including those of the Hittites, Amorites, and Jebusites. This disobedience deeply angered God because they abandoned His goodness. The blessings they sought were already available in Him, yet they strayed. The Holy Spirit is now urging us not to make the same mistake but to trust completely in God’s unchanging character.

As Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches, we are to “trust in the Lord with all our heart” and “lean not on our own understanding.” God is faithful and steadfast—He never changes. The temptations and distractions that lead us to place our trust elsewhere, as happened with Eve in the Garden of Eden, only distance us from God’s truth. Eve, tempted by the serpent, saw that the fruit was good for food, pleasing to the eye, and desirable for gaining wisdom, yet it led her away from God’s command.

Mind who and what you trust in

We, too, must be mindful of what or who we are trusting. Everything we pursue in life is a reflection of where we place our trust. If we trust in the arm of flesh or in our own desires, we will ultimately face disappointment. But when we place our full trust in God, we step into the blessings that He has promised.

As believers, let us return to the place where we trust in God 100%. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). While the world may change, and temptations arise to lure us into trusting something else, we must anchor ourselves in the steadfast love and truth of Jesus Christ, the Rock who never fails.

return to trusting in God 100%

In every situation, from the smallest daily decisions to the grandest life challenges, let’s choose to trust God fully. With Him, there’s no hidden sorrow, only the goodness that comes from walking in His ways. The Lord’s gifts, unlike the deceptions of the enemy, come without sorrow or regret. When you put your trust in Him, He will not break your heart.

Be encouraged to turn to King Jesus

So, where is your trust today? Turn it back to God. No matter where you’ve placed it before, you can choose to trust in the One who never changes, who will never fail you, and who has your best interests at heart.
