Let Your Children Come To Jesus

Written by:

Today, we are reminded of Jesus’ love for children and His desire to welcome them wholeheartedly. In Mark 10:13-16, Jesus rebukes His disciples for turning children away, stating, “Permit the children to come to me; do not hinder them.”

Jesus’ response wasn’t just to ensure children felt welcomed—it showed His deep value for their innocence and openness.

Children’s Right to Know Jesus

Christ calls on parents and guardians to lead children towards Him rather than stand in their way. Your lifestyle, actions, and beliefs play a powerful role in shaping their journey.

When you embrace a life centered on Jesus, you pave the way for them to know His love and salvation.

Be Watchful Over Their Influences

Jesus reminded us that children are vulnerable to influences. While society promotes worldly values, Jesus offers peace, truth, and purpose. As a parent, stay mindful of what your children consume, from media to friendships. Protect their hearts, so they are open to receiving Jesus.

Why Leading Them Matters

If children are kept from Jesus, they may adopt harmful patterns, moving further from God’s light. But when led toward Him, they are blessed, strengthened, and given the Holy Spirit to guide them. We can’t force belief, but we can show them the way and encourage them to explore it.

Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them;

Reflect today:
Are you creating an environment that brings your children closer to Jesus? Even small, loving steps can build a strong foundation for their spiritual growth. Lead them with love and prayer, and watch as Jesus draws them closer to His heart.

Let’s Pray

King Jesus, your word today is goes down deep into our hearts and we see the need to allow our children come to you and not hinder them. Help us, LORD, help us to lead our children onthe right path and into your arms that’s always ready to receive them.

Amen.

*Remember*

Your child will most likely follow in your foot steps, they wil immitate you.

If a change will occur in them, they need to see the change in you as their parents of guardians!
